Selection of winners

An initial selection will be made by the public, with readers able to vote for their favourite projects. These votes, together with various interaction statistics, will be used to determine the PUBLIC PRIZE.

Then will come the jury votes, where each member will choose their top 2, leading to the selection of the GRAND JURY PRIZE and the JURY’S FAVORITE, as well as 5 honourable mentions.

If one of the jury's choices is the same as the Public Prize, the jury will prevail and the Public Prize will be awarded to the 2nd Public Prize. This is to ensure that the Public Prize can still reach the top podium if the jury so decides.

The jury

The jury is made up of French author Romain Lemaire, published by PIKA Edition with his manga Everdark, and Frédéric Toutlemonde (Consultant Celsys, Inc, manager of Euromanga L.L.C, publisher of Tezucomi magazine).

Romain Lemaire

Born in 1984 in Montpellier, he discovered a passion for drawing at a very early age, which lasted right through to secondary school. After taking his baccalaureate in literature with an option in visual arts, he spent four years at university, two years in LLCE English and then two more in visual arts. It was during this time that his cousin Reno Lemaire asked him to help out on Dreamland, the perfect opportunity to learn the trade. At first, he only worked on certain panels, but over time he took over entire chapters, working on the sets, certain designs and the screening. This work as an assistant on Dreamland continued for 8 years until volume 13, then he concentrated on his own Everdark project, the first volume of which was released in 2018 by Pika édition. Today the series is still ongoing and already has 7 volumes.
