Il fût un temps où tous les Hommes étaient capables d’utiliser la magie, mais pour les protéger les uns des autres, cette capacité a été scellée. L’été de ses 20 ans, Felix est désignée comme Gardienne du sceau, mais sa perception du monde qui l’entoure et de tout ce qu'on lui a appris s'apprête à être chamboulée. Elle sera la première Gardienne à apprendre la vérité sur ses origines et à vouloir rendre à l'humanité ses pouvoirs volés. Pour cela, elle devra maîtriser les nouvelles forces qui s'éveillent en elle et affronter ceux qui s’opposent à sa quête de liberté.
