Erik, ou plutôt le Golden Cowboy comme l'appellent les malfrats, ère dans un futur dystopique où seul son colt doré lui rappelle l'époque révolue dont il vient, il gagne son pain en éliminant des malfrats et fuis sans cesse son passé qui lui colle à la peau, étant maudit à même la chair par un don qu'il possède depuis près de 700 ans. Néanmoins les spectres du passé reviennent toujours, et cela de la pire des manières...
