Tom et Julien, deux individus aux personnalités opposées, vont se retrouver piégées dans une dimension parallèle au monde où ils vivent : les Backrooms. Tout en cherchant un moyen d'en sortir en comprenant les règles de ce lieu, les deux personnages vont devoir faire face à de nombreux dangers qui vont remettre en question leur perception du monde et de l'humanité. Car leur arrivée ici n'est pas due au hasard, chacun tentera de trouver sa voie dans cette dimension hostile et terrifiante.
